Date Night: Winter Lights (Part 2 of 2)

Link to Part 1

This Date Night is brought to you by Shiodome and Tokyo Dome.

Shiodome
Unfortunately, we went on one of the holiday days very early in the year, so the really cool display we saw last year wasn't active. Hopefully we'll get a chance to go back and see it before it gets taken down.

Nearby was an archway and a train made of lights, so that's something.

It's a MAGIC FLYING TRAIN made of lights!

Tokyo Dome
Tokyo Dome's theme was a garden party or flowers or something. Less illuminated than last year (they had a pirate ship last year!), but still pretty.

The tree is made of pansies! I don't know what this wizardry is that can keep flowers that healthy in the winter, but I appreciate that they made it happen.

Not just one tree, either.

The courtyard with the fair rides (the still-not-running roller coaster, swings, Ferris wheel, and a couple others) had a couple large color-shifting displays.

Artsy photo brought to you by Husband Man.

Illuminated gazebo is full of happy music and dancing lights.
If it weren't a holiday, those benches would be full of families and couples.

A last look at the plaza before heading home.

Edit: We never did get around to seeing the other illuminations. Maybe next year!

Those pansies are phenomenal! I wonder how they do that!
